Gangland murder - Gardaí appeal for witnesses

Gardaí believe the gunmen who killed 24-year-old Jonathan O'Reilly watched for him at a roundabout about a quarter of a mile from where he was killed.

The dark high-powered motorcycle which was used in the attack was seen at the Cedarbrook Estate minutes before the gangland murder.

Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

The post mortem which was carried out today showed Jonathan O'Reilly died as a result of being shot a number of times in the chest.

He had recently been released from prison after serving a five year sentence for drugs offences.
