A murder inquiry has been launched after a man was killed in a shooting incident outside Cloverhill Prison in west Dublin.
The victim - a 24-year-old man from Ronanstown in Dublin - was shot three times as he sat in a BMW car outside Cloverhill Prison. The incident happened at 3:15pm this afternoon.
The gunman appears to have been the passenger on a motorbike which drew up alongside the car. The driver of the car had just returned from visiting an inmate of the prison.
