There is tight security in Rome this weekend where Pope John Paul is conducting traditional Easter weekend ceremonies.
The Pope presided over a candle lit procession in the Colosseum last night, and will be taking part in other events throughout the weekend.
Aircraft have been forbidden from flying over central Rome, and the numbers of police officers and security checks have been increased.
