One of Waterford's most famous and busiest pubs is calling on its customers not to vote Fianna Fáil in the local elections in protest at the smoking ban.

Geoff's of John Street, Waterford City, began enforcing the ban yesterday but only under protest, according to the bar's management.

Printed posters calling on voters not to vote Fianna Fáil in the forthcoming elections because of the ban were put up in the front windows of the pub this morning.
