A planning application for a crematorium in south Tipperary is to be lodged with the local county council.
If the application is granted, it will be the first crematorium in the country outside of Dublin.
An advertisement has been placed in a south Tipperary newspaper by Strikemount Limited, giving notice of its intention to apply for planning permission to build a crematorium on an 8.5 hectare site at Ballycherihan.
