Limerick bank theft investigation

Gardaí are investigating a bank robbery which occurred in Doon, Co Limerick, shortly after 3pm today.

Two men entered the bank wearing balaclavas carrying what appeared to be a firearm. They got away with an undisclosed amount of money. No shots were fired or persons injured.

They made their getaway in a 95D registered wine or maroon coloured car, similar in make to a Toyota Corolla, and travelled in the direction of Oola.

Gardaí in Tipperary town are appealing for anyone who may have been in Doon between 2.45pm and 3.15pm and who may have any information to contact them on 062-80670.
