Man in court after Dublin pub murder

A 34-year-old man appeared in court today charged with the murder of Frank McCann, who was stabbed to death in a Dublin pub.

Aiden Hennigan, from Red Mill apartments in Brunswick Street, Dublin, was remanded in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court next week.

Mr McCann, 43, died after he was attacked while out for a drink with friends in the Front Lounge/Back Lounge bar in Parliament Street last night.

He was taken to St James's Hospital, but was pronounced dead in the early hours of this morning.
