Conrad Black, one of the world's most powerful media tycoons, is being sued by the company which he used to run.
Hollinger International says it is seeking more than $200 million from its former CEO.
Mr Black, who is also a member of the British House of Lords, is being sued along with another former Hollinger executive, David Radler.
The company said this was because of what it called their unjustified and excessive management fees.
It also claims they altered company books and records to conceal their actions. The men deny any wrongdoing.
