Two policemen have been killed in Thailand by a bomb that exploded as they were trying to defuse it.
The incident happened in the southern province of Pattani, one of three mainly Muslim provinces in which the government had earlier declared martial law.
The measure was taken after violence at the weekend in which four soldiers were killed by gunmen and 21 schools were burned down in the neighbouring province of Narathiwat, about 700 miles south of the capital, Bangkok.
