Veteran Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti married his long-time companion Nicoletta Mantovani at a theatre in the singer's home town of Modena this evening.
The couple were married in a civil ceremony in front of around 600 invited guests.
For 68-year-old Pavarotti, the marriage comes after the trauma of a multi-million euro tax settlement and a bitter and costly divorce from his first wife.
