Maxine Carr has broken down in tears at the murder trial of her ex-boyfriend Ian Huntley.

Pointing to Huntley in the dock at the Old Bailey in London, she said that she was not going to be blamed for what 'that thing in the box' has done.

Maxine Carr has been giving evidence in the trial of Ian Huntley who is accused of murdering schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.

Under cross-examination, she frequently referred to her ex-lover as Mr Huntley and said she was scared of him and that he controlled her.
