Police in California have issued an arrest warrant for pop star Michael Jackson and are negotiating with his lawyers on the terms of his surrender.
Santa Barbara police say Jackson has been charged with multiple counts' of child molestation.
They say he has been given generous time to surrender himself and hand in his passport.
A spokesman for Jackson, who is recording in Las Vegas said the charges are scurrilous and false and he is returning to California to defend himself.
