A post mortem examination has revealed that 26-year-old Michael Campbell McNamara died from gunshot wounds to the head and body, and a number of stab wounds to the back.
Mr McNamara’s body was discovered in a field in the Southill area of Limerick yesterday.
A burnt out car belonging to the deceased was found in the Fedamore area outside Limerick earlier today.
