Gardaí have arrested three men and seized a number of firearms in connection with an ongoing operation against dissident republican groups.
The men were arrested when armed officers intercepted a Northern registered car at the junction of Whitehall Road and the Airport Road in Dublin this afternoon.
Two of the men arrested are being held at Whitehall Garda Station, the third is being detained at Santry Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
Gardaí say the men are aged in the late 30s and early 40s, and all have addresses in the North.
