The United States space agency, NASA, has launched a space telescope which it hopes will better our understanding of the universe.
The telescope, known as SIRTIF, will follow the earth's path around the sun.
It will be able to detect infra-red radiation and so be able to gather information about areas of the universe that are otherwise obscured when viewed from this planet.
