The vice-chairman of the North's Policing Board, Denis Bradley, has received a death threat through the post.
An envelope containing bullets was sent to his home in Derry.
A member of the local District Policing Partnership in Derry, Marion Quinn, also received a similar threat.
The threats are believed to be the work of dissident Republicans.
