A blueprint for developing youth work services over the next five years has been launched by the Government, despite the lack of funds to implement it.
The National Youth Work Development Plan was launched by the Minister for Youth Affairs, Síle de Valera this afternoon.
It proposes additional spending of €37m over the next five years, including €2.6m this year.
However, only around €120,000 will be provided this year.
Minister de Valera acknowledged that she did not have enough money for the plans, but said she would be fighting for resources in forthcoming spending rounds.
