At least 14 people have been reported killed and over 150 injured in a bomb explosion at a luxury hotel in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.
The US has said Indonesian police have recovered the vehicle number of the van used in the bombing of the hotel.
According to analysts, the attack at the American-owned Marriott Hotel was probably carried out by an Indonesian-based Islamic extremist group, Jemaah Islamiyah.
Police in Indonesia say the blast showed similarities to last year's Bali bombing in which over 200 people died.
They have confirmed that a Dutch man was among those killed, and that several other foreigners have been injured.
Indonesia's Defence Minister, Matori Abdul Djalil, described the explosion as an act of terrorism, and some reports said a suicide bomber was involved.
The attack came two days before a court is due to give the first verdict in the trials of Islamic militants accused of last year's bombings on the island of Bali, which left more than 200 people dead.
