Gardaí in Limerick have arrested three men as part of the ongoing investigation into the murder of John Ryan in the city last Monday week.
The men were arrested around 8am this morning during a number of searches on houses in the city.
Two are being held at Mayorstone Garda Station and the third at Henry St.
They are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, which means they can be questioned initially for 24 hours with an extension to 48 hours if necessary.
Two men arrested last Tuesday were held for 24 hours but were released without charge as part of the same investigation.
