The Taoiseach has insisted that claims made by property developer Tom Gilmartin against senior figures in Fianna Fáil will be heard in public sessions of the Flood tribunal.
Meanwhile, the Government is still awaiting a letter from Mr Justice Flood clarifying aspects of his request to step down as chairman of the Tribunal.
Earlier, the leader of the Labour Party, Pat Rabbite, asked the Tanaiste to guarantee that any changes in the workings of the Flood Tribunal would not be used for what he called 'partisan advantage'.
