CAB sells five seized Dublin properties

The Criminal Assets Bureau has sold five seized houses for €750,000.

They previously belonged to a convicted criminal. Patrick Mitchell, aged 56, was jailed for two years in April, for failing to make tax returns of over €1m.

Today, the Criminal Assets Bureau sold five of his houses in Dublin for sums of between €100,000 and €237,000 each.

Two in Rialto Villas made €202,000, while another in Cremona Road, Ballyfermot made €160,000. A house in Galteemore Drive in Drimnagh was sold for €175,000 and one in Kenilsfort Road, Palmerston, went for €237,000.

The houses were all in poor repair but CAB secured over €770,000 for the five.

Mitchell is the brother of the Dublin criminal George Mitchell, who is known as the Penguin, and is living in Holland.
