NI police stage reconstruction

Police in the North have been staging a reconstruction of the last known movements of a man whose family claims he was abducted by the IRA.

Gareth O'Connor, 24, disappeared last Sunday as he travelled from his home in Armagh City to Dundalk.

Police believe his journey would have taken him through the border village of Newtownhamilton, where officers have been speaking to motorists and handing out posters.

Mr O'Connor had been on his way to report to Gardaí as part of his bail conditions on a charge of membership of the Real IRA.

The Provisional IRA has denied any involvement in his disappearance.
