The rock musician Noel Redding, who lived in West Cork, has died at the age of 57.
Mr Redding's manager, Ian Grant, said the former bass player in the Jimi Hendrix Experience had died last Sunday.
He gave no details of the circumstances. A post mortem is due to be carried out later today.
