Two teenagers and a 21-year-old have appeared in Cork District Court, charged with membership of the Real IRA.
Two of the three, along with a 21-year-old woman, have also been charged with possession of an AK-47.
Today's court appearances relate to a series of arrests by gardaí in Blarney, North Cork, last October. An AK-47, a sawn-off shotgun, a pistol and ammunition - including more than 100 rounds for the AK-47 - were seized during the operation.
19-year-old Anthony Crowley of Stone View, Blarney, was today charged with membership of the Real IRA. He is also facing charges of possession of the AK-47, a sawn-off shotgun and a Dac pistol, as well as a large quantity of ammunition for the three weapons.
21-year-old Brian MacSweeney of Coolowen, Blarney, was charged with membership of the Real IRA as well as with possession of an AK-47.
An 18-year-old apprentice carpenter, Alan Hickey from Ballygibbon, Blarney, was charged with membership of the Real IRA.
All three have been remanded on bail.
A fourth person, 21-year-old Michelle O'Rourke, from Doneraile, County Cork, has been charged with possession of an AK-47 rifle, a Dac pistol and a quantity of ammunition.
Det Supt Tony Quilter told Cork District Court the charges follow an intensive garda investigation and eight volumes of material had been submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The DPP has decided that all four will be tried together at the Special Criminal Court.
