A former RUC reservist has been given a two-year suspended sentence for organising prostitution in Dublin.
44-year-old Peter McCormack from Lawnswood in Stillorgan is the last person to be convicted under Operation Gladiator, which was set up to target those involved in organising and controlling prostitution.
He is the thirteenth person to be convicted as part of that operation.
When Gardaí raided his brothel and control centre, they found nine phones which corresponded to nine brothels.
The court was told that his brothels were advertised in 'In Dublin' magazine and that he leased a premises in Bishopmeade, which he used as a clearing house under a false name.
The women who worked for him in a nearby brothel would go there after work.
The judge said he was involved in running a prostitution business which involved a large number of women and ran the business in an organised way.
He is only the second person ever to be convicted of the offence of organising prostitution.
The court was told that he was no longer involved in prostitution and was now running a bed and breakfast with his wife.
