Up to 500 people gathered outside Leinster House in Dublin tonight in a demonstration organised by the anti-war movement.
Shortly before 8pm, gardaí pushed demonstrators back from the front of the dail to allow TDs' cars get out.
Demonstrators sat down on the roadway in front of one car but were dragged out of the way by gardaí.
There were two arrests for public order offences.
