Adam Faith dies of a heart attack

British pop star turned actor Adam Faith has died of a heart attack.

He was 62. He died in a hospital in the English midlands after being taken ill in a hotel where he was staying while appearing in a play.

Adam Faith was one of the big pin-ups of British pop in his younger days.

He first topped the charts in 1959 with 'What Do You Want' and then carved out a successful television career with his starring roles in 'Budgie' and 'Love Hurts'.

Hiss career spanned six decades. He rose from being a messenger boy to 60s pop star, TV actor, record producer and financial investment guru.
