Fourteen Muslim pilgrims died and several were injured during the annual Hajj celebrations near the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
The deaths occurred when the pilgrims fell to the ground amid a huge crowd of people attending the Stoning of Satan ritual in Mena this morning.
The three-day stoning ritual has been a flashpoint for stampedes over past years.
Some two million pilgrims are taking part in the Hajj.
