Two men sought over Dublin shooting

Gardaí say two armed and masked men were involved in the killing of a man in a shooting in Dublin.

40-year-old Raymond Sallinger died after he was shot a number of times in the head and chest while watching a football match in a pub on New Street.

He was shot just before 10pm last night and was taken to St James's Hospital but died a short time later.

Gardaí at Kevin Street have issued a description of the gunman. He is described as 5ft 8" and was wearing a cream top, blue jeans and a balaclava.

Detectives believe the murder is drug related.

Earlier, the Taoiseach has said that the Gardai are using specialised units to deal with recent gangland killings.

He was replying to criticism from Pat Rabbitte who said that no charges had yet been made in respect of a number of recent murders.
