Relatives of a 21-year-old man who was shot dead in north Belfast this morning have said he was not involved in any illegal organisation.

Jonathan Stewart, who was a nephew of a leading Loyalist figure, was singled out from a group of people and shot several times by a gunman who had entered a house in the Loyalist Manor Street area of the city.

Neighbours reported hearing five or six shots.

The victim lived nearby and it is understood, had been attending a party in the house.

Police suspect the attack could be linked to an ongoing Loyalist feud, involving rival factions of the UDA.
