The 2001 RTE Annual Report has been published.
It shows that the station ran a deficit of almost €71m last year. A restructuring plan which resulted in a reduction of 150 employees in 2001 is estimated to have cost €21.5m.
The annual report shows there were just over 2,000 employees in the organisation at the end of 2001.
