Six people involved in protests over a dispute at CityJet Handling at Dublin Airport were detained in custody for over an hour by the High Court today.
The six included Fingal County Councillor Clare Daly.
Their detention and that of a court heckler was ordered by the judge, Mr Justice Peter Kelly, to bring home to them the seriousness and consequences of breaching court injunctions.
CityJet Handling had sought committal orders.
Describing what has been going on at Dublin Airport as close to anarchy, Judge Kelly released the seven this afternoon accepting their undertakings on oath to obey the court orders.
