The former teaching assistant charged in connection with the murders of Jessica Chapman and Holly Wells has failed in her application for bail pending trial.
Maxine Carr has been charged with perverting the course of justice.
Judge David Mellor refused the 25-year-old’s bail application at a hearing at Norwich Crown Court. Ms Carr was not in court for the bail application.
Her boyfriend, Ian Huntley, is accused of murdering the 10-year-old Cambridgeshire schoolgirls.
Holly and Jessica vanished on 4 August after being seen walking near their homes in Soham.
Their bodies were found in a ditch at Lakenheath, Suffolk, on 17 August.
