26 killed in Mexican land dispute

Twenty-six people are reported to have been killed in the south of Mexico, apparently in a feud between rival farmers in a long-running land dispute.

Officials said the victims were shot after armed men stopped the truck in which they were travelling on a remote country road in the state of Oaxaca.

According to the State Attorney General's office, the men told the driver and his son to leave and then opened fire on the people inside the truck.
