Police are investigating a sectarian attack in Belfast in which a man was stabbed four times. The man was set upon during trouble last night on the Whitewell Road, a flashpoint area in the north of the city. He was stabbed in the neck and face, and twice in the back. His injuries are said not to be life-threatening. Police are treating the incident as attempted murder.
