The Court Service has confirmed that it has not yet received payment of the £10,000 fine imposed on Liam Lawlor last February. The fine should have been paid by yesterday.
In his judgement jailing the Dublin West TD for failing to comply with the Flood Tribunal, Mr Justice Smyth said that if the fine was not paid by yesterday interest would be added. If it is not paid by 9 April, the Dáil deputy faces another month in prison.
Mr Lawlor is due back before the High Court on 9 April in relation to the Flood Tribunal.
