Two men arrested in yesterday's anti-crime swoops in the Belfast area have been remanded in custody. The men were brought before the city's Magistrates court on charges of armed robbery.
They were among twelve people arrested in a day-long operation involving more than 100 police officers. The operation was aimed at combating crime in the south of the city.
Three other men arrested in yesterday's operation were due to appear in another court on motoring charges. Police say that they expect to charge others in the coming days.
