Publicans say they will challenge a court ruling which says that parents accompanied by children must be served under all circumstances. The ruling followed a case brought against a Dublin pub.
The Licensed Vintners' Association says that, in essence, the ruling means parents could stay in pubs with their children until 2 o'clock in the morning.
