A 36-year-old man is being questioned at Edenderry Garda Station, in connection with the attack on two elderly bachelor brothers in Castlejordan, County Offaly, during the summer of last year. The man was arrested this morning.
He was taken to Edenderry Garda Station, and can be questioned for up to 12 hours under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Patrick Logan died in the attack on the brother's home. His brother, Peter, was seriously injured. Both men were in their 80s. Another man has already been charged in connection with the attack, while a woman has been convicted of burglary.
