Two new law suits have been filed in the US against the drugs company, Bayer. The cases involve the German company's anti-cholesterol drug, Baycol.
The drug was recalled last week. The company has said it will contest the lawsuits.
Bayer has emphasised that no causal links have been established between Baycol and the 52 deaths reported to have occurred while patients were taking the drug.
The company said it saw no need to make risk provisions for the lawsuits.
