The Flood Tribunal has begun High Court proceedings to try and have an action being taken against it by a Dublin auctioneer thrown out. John Finnegan got leave last Tuesday to seek a number of orders against the Tribunal. He was being questioned in connection with the affairs of former Minister, Ray Burke.
The Tribunal got the go-ahead today to make an application next Monday to have Mr Finnegan's proceedings set aside. Council for the Tribunal, Brian Murray, said that the application was being made on the basis that the issues raised in the Finnegan case had already been raised in other cases.
