A car bomb has exploded in central Madrid just ahead of elections in Spain's Basque region. Reports say that up to 15 people were injured, one seriously, in the blast which happened at around 11pm last night. A Spanish official said an anonymous caller in the name of the separatist group, ETA, made a warning telephone call to authorities eight minutes before the explosion. The regional elections are to be held tomorrow.
