Three arrested following cannabis seizure

A woman and two men have been arrested in Cork after Gardaí seized 10 kilos of cannabis with an estimated street value of £100,000. The arrests follow a surveillance operation carried out by Gardaí and members of the customs national drugs team. It is understood a 34-year-old South African woman had flown into Cork Airport from the Continent earlier today and was arrested when she met the two men, a 26-year-old Englishman and a 25-year-old from Sierra Leone, at McCurtain Street in Cork City Centre this evening. All three are being questioned at Garda stations in Cork City under Section 2 of the Drugs Trafficking Act.
