Gardaí treat death of man found in Raheny as suspicious

Gardaí are treating as suspicious the death of a man whose body was found in a public park in Dublin's Raheny. The body of the man, believed to have been in his mid to late 20s, was found lying face down in a corner of St Anne's Park in Raheny. He was found at about 10:30am by a local man who was walking his dog. The Assistant State Pathologist, Dr Marie Cassidy, has begun a post mortem.

The man has been identified, but his name will not be released until relatives have been informed. Gardaí say that the man was known to them. They have set up an incident room at Raheny Garda Station, and anyone with information can call +353 (1) 666 4312 or +353 (1) 666 4313
