A 51-year-old man from County Louth has appeared before the Special Criminal Court in Dublin charged with directing the activities of an illegal organisation and being a member of that organisation which styles itself on the IRA and Óglaigh Na hÉireann. Michael McKevitt, from Beach Park, Blackrock, Dundalk, was remanded in custody until Tuesday, 3 April, when he is to make a bail application.
