Seven men jailed for part in paedophile ring

Seven men in Britain have been jailed for taking part in the world's largest paedophile ring. However none of the men, who were all part of the so-called Wonderland internet operation, received the maximum three-year sentence. The judge sentenced the seven defendants at Kingston Crown Court in Middlesex to between twelve and 30 months in jail.

Using the internet, they had swapped thousands of photos of children and babies being sexually abused. As part of an international ring of a 180 paedophiles, they had helped compile a vast database. Police had seized 750,000 pictures and 1800 videos depicting horrific child abuse. The entry fee to the Wonderland ring was to 10,000 new indecent pictures. Child protection charities have condemned the short sentences as a joke.
