Yugoslav Foreign Minister suggest prosecution of Milosevi

The new Yugoslav Foreign Minister, who is visiting Washington, has suggested that his country may allow an international prosecution of the former President, Slobodan Milosevic, on war crimes charges. Goran Svilanovic said that it would be possible to co-operate with the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, based in The Hague, as long as any trial took place in Yugoslavia. Mr Svilanovic was speaking after a meeting with the American Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright.
