Carthy inquest to hear public evidence from emergency res

It has been learnt that five members of the Garda emergency response unit will give evidence in public for the first time when the inquest into the death of John Carthy reopens in Longford on Monday. 34 Witnesses have now given evidence to the inquest, which will also hear new information from a psychiatrist on the medical condition of Mr Carthy, who was shot dead by Gardaí after a siege at his home in Abbeylara last April.
