The funeral of the former TV presenter, Paula Yates, has taken place in Kent in England. About 100 mourners, including U2's Bono, attended this afternoon's hour long funeral service at the church of St Mary Magdalene in Davington. After the service her former husband, Bob Geldof travelled to nearby Charing with his daughters for a private cremation.
Forty-one-year-old Ms Yates was found dead at her home in Notting Hill west London last Sunday. An inquest has been opened and adjourned while further tests are completed to establish her cause of death. According to Canon Alan Duke, the church where Paula was mourned had been the scene of happier times for her.
