Police in Belfast have seized weapons which might have been for use in the ongoing Loyalist feud in the Shankill Road area. The haul, including machetes, hatchets and iron bars, were recovered from the garden of a house in Malvern Way after reports of suspicious activity. Meanwhile John White, chairman of the Ulster Democratic Party, which speaks for the Ulster Freedom Fighters, said today that he had been told the UFF were behind a bomb explosion in Bangor, County Down on Monday in which a man was critically injured. However, David Ervine of the Progressive Unionist Party said that Mr White's comments were dubious in the extreme.
